It's usually not the money. It's that an FNOL Claims Handler here works 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, and that's it. No late shifts, no Saturday rota, no on-call. If you're coming off a 24/7 operation, that's most of your life back. The other reason is the training: fully funded CII, and a dedicated in-house motor claims trainer who coaches one to one.
What you'll be doing
- Taking first notification of loss on motor claims, getting the detail right first time and telling the customer honestly what happens next
- Handling accidental damage claims through to settlement: engineers, repairers, salvage, courtesy cars, third parties
- Motor claims experience: FNOL, accidental damage, or both
- Confident running a caseload and making a liability call you can justify
- Calm, clear and patient with people having a bad day
- Comfortable across multiple claims systems
- GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
Two years' motor claims experience is the marker for the top of the range. At eighteen months and strong on liability? Still send it. We'll have that conversation with the employer rather than screen you out on a number.
