Job Description
FOSTER CARE ASSOCIATES (THE FCA) Role: Associate Therapist – Fostering Location: Yorks and Lincs – Homebased Salary: £25 per hour ABOUT US Foster Care Associates Yorks and Lincs is an Outstanding rated Ofsted service (2025). We are highly ambitious for our fostering families and want every child in our care to live 'safe and happy' lives. We have our head office in Sheffield, with staff and foster parents based throughout the entire region from South Yorkshire to Lincolnshire.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for an Associate Therapist who will be able to provide 20 hours of support per week for a period of 10 months. We require a highly motivated and passionate Therapist to support the Therapy team whilst a member of staff is on maternity leave. As an Associate Therapist you will be required to deliver a high-quality service and to facilitate and enable a therapeutic environment for looked after children and young people living with us.
You will be expected to deliver individual sessions and group work to Foster Parents enabling them to understand therapeutic parenting, provide consultation to staff within the team around the child and may facilitate Team Parenting meetings. This rewarding role allows you to build firm relationships with our Foster Parents which is essential to providing stability to our children. It would be beneficial to have experience of working within a fostering service or similar.
You should be able to evidence your administration skills, ability to follow regulatory policies and processes, and have the ability to work well within a fast paced team.
