The Farnley Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Lead Practitioner of English. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong leadership that results in an English Department which provides first‑class teaching and learning opportunities for both students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • A successful record of teaching English including excellent exam results at one or more of KS3 & KS4.
  • Proven track record in raising standards and achievement.
  • Experience of leading highly successful and aspirational Mathematics events.
  • A detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the effective use of the Pupil Premium.
  • The ability to put vision into practice.
