We are searching for a friendly, professional and well‑organised person to join our reception team at The Falmouth Hotel. The desired candidate will be a confident communicator and a great problem solver. Daily tasks include greeting guests, ensuring a smooth check‑in/check‑out process and handling telephone and email enquiries. This full‑time position requires 38‑40 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days a week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage the reception area, maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
- Respond to emails and other correspondence promptly.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding service in every interaction.
- Experience of using a hotel PMS system such as Mews.
- Excellent communication skills, a positive can‑do attitude and the ability to develop good working relationships with staff members.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
