Contract: Permanent - Full-Time - 40hr per week (onsite)

Scope: Responsible for four nursing complex care wards of between 8 and 15 beds each

The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) will support the Centre Director in ensuring outstanding care is delivered to Patients in line with best practice and the Fairlie Healthcare Group's Core Values and Values Framework, ensuring Patients are treated with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the MDT to ensure defined and assessed needs of patients are met, in line with evidence-based practice and defined in the Patient's Care Plan.
  • Provide nursing leadership to qualified nursing staff, acting as a role model and encouraging service development in relation to nursing practice.
  • Be aware of Patient clinical dependencies and build effective partnership relationships with Patients and their significant others.
  • Ensure clinical areas are safely staffed with regard to skill mix, competency and numbers of staff relative to Patient dependencies, clinical risk and resource allocation as per Centre Establishment Hours.
  • Oversee medicines management to ensure medicines in the Centre are ordered, stored, given and disposed of in line with policies; ensure all nursing staff are trained, competent and supervised in administration of medicines.
  • Provide coordination and oversight to the Centre's GSF processes and accreditation.
  • Provide coordination and oversight to the Centre's IPC processes as IPC lead for clinical areas.
  • Coordinate the clinical admissions pathway in respect of patient assessment and safe admission of Patients to the Centre.
  • Take responsibility for the Clinical Budget for the Centre, ensuring effective allocation of resources and stock management procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The CSM role is hands-on; must be a registered Nurse with an active PIN and at least 5 years' experience in directly managing all aspects of clinical services in a similar setting.
  • Full-time onsite Nursing Management, Critical Care Medicine, and Patient Care skills.
  • Experience in nursing and acute medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Clinical Governance reporting and action plans linked to quality improvements.
  • Safeguarding Lead, previous experience desirable.
  • Preferred: experience in A&E, ITU, HDU, CCU, Respiratory, or Complex Care settings.
  • Ideally: experience with Ventilator and Tracheostomy Care.
