The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to earn an exponential salary whilst working for a highly established provider of Facilities Services. This business sits as a recognised leader in innovation amongst their competitors and is looking for an exceptional individual to join their growing team. This is a newly created position within a growing Facilities Services business, driven by an increasing pipeline of complex and high-value opportunities.

As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the commercial and technical pricing of major Hard FM and maintenance opportunities, from strategic bids and frameworks through to large, complex tenders. A motivated dynamic professional with excellent interpersonal skills, who will liaise with both the sales and technical team to deliver quotations to customers, offer estimates and collaborate with purchasing to ensure all the documents are correct and ready for the client to go ahead with a purchase. This role will require a professional with a keen eye for detail who will work with the customer to provide innovative solutions. Your main objective will be to provide comprehensive detail and costing within specified deadlines, meeting all essential client requirements.

Reporting to the Head of Estimating, you will take ownership of some of the organisation's most significant work-winning opportunities, working closely with operational, commercial, solutions and bid teams to develop pricing strategies that are competitive, commercially robust and, importantly, deliverable. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to UK offices as required. You will be joining a collaborative estimating function where knowledge sharing, teamwork and a genuine desire to win are central to the culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who wants to have real influence over major opportunities within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end estimating process for large, complex and strategic FM tenders and frameworks.
  • Develop accurate and commercially robust first-principles cost models.
  • Analyse tender documentation, asset data, maintenance requirements and service specifications to develop effective pricing solutions.
  • Apply SFG20 standards and asset-based pricing methodologies to build detailed maintenance cost models.
  • Own the evaluation of commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring these are appropriately reflected within pricing and bid strategy.
  • Work closely with Solutions Directors and Proposals teams to develop compelling win themes and commercial differentiators.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve both competitiveness and deliverability.
  • Present pricing strategies, assumptions and outputs at internal governance meetings and to senior stakeholders.
  • Support negotiations and commercial clarification throughout the tender process.
  • Lead a structured and comprehensive handover to operational and delivery teams following contract award.
  • Contribute to the continued development of estimating processes, tools and best practice across the wider business.

About You

We are looking for an established estimating professional with a strong background in Hard FM, engineering services or maintenance, who is comfortable operating at a strategic level and taking ownership of complex work-winning opportunities. You will ideally bring:

  • Strong experience of SFG20 maintenance standards and asset-based pricing.
  • Proven experience pricing complex Hard FM or integrated facilities management opportunities.
  • Experience working on CCS, Government or other public-sector frameworks.
  • A demonstrable track record of contributing to and winning large, complex FM tenders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the relationship between pricing, risk, operational delivery and profitability.
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to build and interrogate detailed cost models.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a structured approach to tender analysis.
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders across operational, commercial and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pricing strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Above all, you will be someone who enjoys winning, understands what makes a commercially successful bid and can balance competitiveness with the practical realities of service delivery.
