As Security Manager, you will take full operational ownership of a prestigious commercially led contract valued at approximately £4 million annually. The site is a flagship operation of significant strategic importance, requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to maintain best-in-class service delivery standards.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, Heads of Security, Facilities teams, and internal operational leadership to ensure seamless service delivery, contractual compliance, and continued client satisfaction. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, ensuring operational consistency, compliance, and performance excellence across all security functions.
Experience within high-profile or high-security environments, including knowledge of counter-terrorism measures, Martyns Law, incident management, and partnership working with police and emergency services is highly advantageous.
You will be responsible for managing large operational teams, workforce planning, service delivery optimisation, and ensuring contract profitability through effective commercial management and operational efficiency.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct Management of: Security Supervisors, Duty Managers, Team Leaders, Security Officers
- Full operational responsibility for a prestigious security contract valued at approximately £4 million.
- Management of direct and indirect operational costs.
- Full P&L responsibility, budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ownership of KPI delivery, service standards, and contractual compliance.
- Submission of operational and budgetary reports to senior leadership.
- Management of workforce planning, rostering strategy, and resource deployment.
- Strategic oversight of operational capability whilst maintaining a hands-on leadership approach.
- Leading from the front to ensure best-in-class service delivery standards.
- Ensuring effective communication between all staff, client stakeholders, and senior operational leadership.
- Recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary management of direct reports.
- Identification of service improvement opportunities and implementation of technology-driven security solutions.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships at senior stakeholder level.
- Liaising with Police, emergency services, and external stakeholders on all security-related matters.
- Management and control of sensitive information and incident escalation processes.
- Promoting and driving a strong security culture throughout the contract and ensuring all required security protocols are adhered to.
- Supporting business retention strategies through exceptional operational delivery and commercial awareness.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
- Experience within Security Management.
- Experience managing commercially led security contracts.
- Experience managing P&L / budgetary responsibility.
- Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams.
- Proven client relationship management experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and operational decision-making ability.
- Experience working on demanding, detail-orientated projects with challenging delivery timeframes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front and inspire teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at board level with clients and internal stakeholders.
- High quality communication and presentation capability.
