As Contracts Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of high-profile sites across London, including commercial, corporate, and public-facing environments with varying risk profiles and operational demands. You will work closely with senior management, including Heads of Security and client representatives, ensuring seamless service delivery across all locations. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, ensuring consistency, compliance, and high-performance standards across multiple teams and sites.
Experience in high-security environments, including knowledge of counter-terrorism measures, Martyns Law, and partnership working with police and emergency services, is highly advantageous. You will be responsible for managing large teams, coordinating resourcing across sites (including events and peak demand), and driving service excellence across a portfolio generating significant contract value.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct Management of Security Managers, Site Managers, Site Supervisors
- Responsibility for a diverse multi-site portfolio in London with overall responsibility for a large team of officers.
- Management of direct and indirect costs
- To submit Operations and budgetary reports
- Transfer of customer contracts to technology driven solutions.
- Full P&L responsibility, budget setting, KPI setting and management.
- To effectively manage operational capability of the site, this role will be a strategic position though you should have a hands-on approach, leading from the front.
- To ensure effective communication between all - staff, clients, Area & Operations Managers
- Recruitment and the disciplinary of your direct reports.
- Identification and assistance with the integration of acquisitions
- Motivate and develop your team with a view to developing individuals through the business who are recognised as future managers of the business.
- Liaising with Police and other external stakeholders for security matters.
- Managing and controlling Sensitive Information.
- Promoting and driving a good security culture throughout the organisation and ensuring required security protocols are adhered to by all.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
- Experience within Security Management.
- Experience of managing a P&L / budgetary responsibility.
- Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams.
- Proven client relationship management.
- Strong leadership skills to lead from the front and inspire.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at board level with clients and internal stakeholders.
