The Role
- To undertake the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure and associated electrical systems across commercial and industrial sites.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will possess a strong electrical background and experience working with EV charging equipment and associated infrastructure.
- The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator at all levels and capable of delivering high-quality work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- We are looking for someone hardworking, self-motivated, and willing to travel throughout the South East region.
- Installation and commissioning of EV charging systems in accordance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Carry out electrical installations, testing, inspection, and maintenance works across a range of commercial and industrial environments.
- Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions for EV charging infrastructure and associated electrical systems.
- Coordinate installation layouts with other M&E services and site teams.
- Ensure all installations comply with current wiring regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Completion of site surveys and technical assessments.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and account management teams to determine project requirements and deliver successful outcomes.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and customers.
- Carry out all works in a safe and diligent manner in line with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Person and Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and EV charging infrastructure.
- Experience working with commercial EV charging equipment is advantageous.
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Substantial, demonstrable experience within a similar electrical engineering role.
