Self-Employed | Surrey Workshop | UK & Overseas Projects
The Fabrika Group is looking for an experienced Bespoke Cabinet Maker / Joiner & Installer to work with our team on an ongoing self-employed basis.
We design, manufacture and install high-quality bespoke joinery for residential, commercial and hospitality projects across London, the UK and overseas.
We are looking for an experienced all-round joiner who is equally confident manufacturing in the workshop and installing on site.
This is not a workshop-only or fitting-only role.
You will be expected to manufacture bespoke joinery from technical drawings and install the finished work on site.
The role
- Manufacture bespoke cabinetry, fitted furniture and architectural joinery from technical drawings
- Work with veneered MDF, solid timber, plywood, laminates and other decorative materials
- Carry out natural veneer work, including preparation, matching and application
- Cut, machine, assemble and finish joinery to a high standard
- Operate professional woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- Prepare completed joinery for delivery and installation
- Install and fit your work on residential, commercial and hospitality projects
- Carry out final adjustments and snagging on site
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cabinet making, bench joinery or bespoke furniture manufacture
- Strong professional workshop experience
- Proven experience in both manufacture and on-site installation
- Previous experience on commercial joinery or fit-out projects
- Good practical experience with natural veneer and veneered panels
- Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings
- Confident using woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Self-employed and able to invoice for work
- Willing to travel throughout the UK and overseas for installations when required
Experience in high-end residential and hospitality joinery would be an advantage.
This is an ongoing position for the right person.
We are looking for someone reliable and experienced who can take responsibility for their work from manufacture through to final installation.
Rates will depend on experience.
