Details: * Role: Dementia and Mental Wellbeing Enabler * Hours: 28 hours per week * Contract: Permanent * Rate: £16.02 per hour (£23,382pa, pro rata of FTE £31,351) * Location: St Oswald's Retirement Village, Gavel Way, Gloucester, GL1 2UF Extracare does not participate in the current "UK Visa Sponsorship" scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship.
What to expect You will be an essential member of the location team with specific responsibilities relating to the psychological and social wellbeing of residents, and will work as part of Extra Care's wellbeing services mainly supporting residents on a one to one basis and in groups.
The work can be challenging due to providing support to distressed people with potentially high emotional demands.
Through person centred relationships you will learn about resident's unique experience of their condition, develop interventions that alleviate distress and where needed assist residents to access external dementia and mental health services.

Knowledge of Dementia, Cognitive Impairment, and Mental Health conditions and experience of providing one to one support to people living with those conditions 2.
