Wixams Retirement Village, part of the Extra Care Charitable Trust, are currently recruiting a Relief Housekeeper. This is an exciting time to be joining Lovat Fields and be part of a supportive team in a luxury retirement village based in Bedford.

Role: Housekeeper - relief

Hours: Ad hoc/ as required

Salary: £14.12 per hour

Location: Wixams Retirement Village, Bedford Road, Bedford, MK42 6EA

As a Relief Housekeeper, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Spring (sparkle) cleaning of resident apartments
  • Using cleaning machinery (e.g., industrial vacuum cleaners and floor cleaning equipment)
  • Flexible, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Being on your feet for long periods of time
  • At times lifting loads of up to 25 pounds
  • Control of the stock of cleaning materials and ensure they are kept in locked cupboards
  • Ordering of supplies and maintaining stock levels
