Student Practice Facilitator Physiotherapist

ExtraCare Charitable Trust are looking for a Student Practice Facilitator Physiotherapist ! Are you an experienced Student Practice Facilitator Physiotherapist looking to develop your career with an award winning, forward-thinking charity? We are recruiting a Student Practice Facilitator Physiotherapist to join our Head Office in Coventry. To lead on the Student Practice Education Project – a scheme to oversee Physiotherapy student placements across ExtraCare's Birmingham and Midlands. To support, co-ordinate and facilitate the project for the integration and co-ordinated supervision and evaluation of students from various Allied Health Professional (AHP) disciplines into working with older people across all ExtraCare's locations. The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrable experience within a similar role, be flexible, motivated and adaptable to change. If this sounds like you, please read on for more details! Key Duties: Work with HEIs to identify students to be allocated to the project. Preparation of placement protocol and governance for practice educators and students. Work independently but with the guidance of HEI protocols and other relevant principles. Implement robust student induction with the inter-professional practice educators, academic staff from partner HEIs to support by increasing confidence in this new model of practice education. To identify and address the training needs of the staff having supervision Produce a portfolio of training material, including online resources and activities for the preparation of the placement experience. Produce an evaluation tool to be completed by the students, residents and educators following each placement cycle. This will inform the need for change and development of the programme. Keep accurate databases / electronic records to provide timely and accurate reports on Student Placement Activity as requested by HEIs or other relevant stakeholder. Travel between our locations as appropriate to complete the responsibilities listed above. About you: Significant experience in working with students and overseeing HEI placements. Experience in managing older people, long term conditions and providing treatment plans Experience or knowledge of primary care or referral to primary care Good interpersonal skills and can demonstrate ability to work with others Competent in computer skills Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and can demonstrate awareness of MDT functioning Communicate and collaborate with students'/practice education team/location teams Provide an induction for new students Implement quality improvements - modify placement based on feedback/evaluation Band 6 qualification, HCPC registered A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport would be desirable.
