Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Social Media Officer? ExtraCare are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Media Officer to join our award-winning charity, The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, and contribute to our mission of creating ‘better lives for older people'. This opportunity is on a full-time permanent contract, based at our Head Office in Binley, Coventry.
The successful candidate will manage and develop ExtraCare's social media channels through the design, creation and delivery of engaging, audience centric content across multiple platforms, including - but not limited to - Facebook, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram and YouTube.

Role Details:
- Hours: 37.5 per week
- Location: Head Office (occasional travel to locations)
- Salary: £26,769 per annum
Key Duties:
The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of ExtraCare's digital marketing strategy and stay up-to-date with the latest social media practices and technologies, evaluating the use of, and adopting new functionality and platforms where appropriate. The role will require proactively engaging with our online audience, sparking conversation and responding to incoming queries, strengthening relationships and harnessing our online advocates.
The Social Media Officer will need to utilise our social media channels to extend the reach of our charity and corporate messages, raising awareness of ExtraCare, and to support the generation of leads for the sales team. Strong written communication skills and digital creative skills are required for developing and maintaining social media content, including basic design skills and the ability to create images and short videos.
We are looking for a Social Media Officer with a genuine interest in the lives of older people, their stories and interests. They should also have an understanding of PR and reputational issues.
