The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are recruiting Relief Bar Hosts to join our friendly hospitality team at our Wixams Retirement Village based in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bar Host to support the village's commitment in delivering ExtraCare's mission of “better lives for older people.
Position: Relief Bar Host
Hourly Rate: £14.12 per hour
Hours: Ad hoc/ as required
Location: Wixams Retirement Village, Bedford Road, Bedford, MK42 6EA
Please note: Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the sale of alcohol. ExtraCare does not participate in the current “UK Visa Sponsorship” scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship.
What will you do as our Relief Bar Host?
- Provide all customers with a professional, helpful and friendly bar service at all times.
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant customers.
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the bar, stockroom and equipment at all times.
- Carry out quality training, supervision or coaching of our bar volunteers or other staff.
- Carry out stock control procedures and ensure all stock takes are carried out correctly.
- Be aware of who the personal License Holder is, and challenge suspected underage drinking.
Our ideal Relief Bar Host will be:
- Personable and friendly.
- Have previous experience or customer service experience.
- Have empathy towards our residents.
- Able to work as part of a team and is flexible.
