Are you an experienced and dynamic Registered Care Manager with strong person-centred values and the ability to inspire and lead others? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Care Manager to take the lead in the management of care and support services at our vibrant, modern and uplifting Retirement Village at Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes. Role: Registered Care Manager
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £46,472 per annum
Location: Shenley Wood Retirement Village, Milton Keynes, MK5 6GJ

What will you do as our Registered Care Manager?

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the care services which includes direct supervision of Care Coordinators and all care staff;
  • Ensure high standards and performance of the services adhering to and exceeding CQC and local authority requirements;
  • Lead and take accountability for the quality of care that residents receive through regular audits and compliance checks;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines within the village to provide the best outcomes for our residents;
  • Take responsibility for the recruitment and retention of care staff and ensure all care staff are trained and competent to deliver a high-quality service;
  • Develop individual care plans to ensure optimum levels of independence.

Our ideal Registered Care Manager will have:

  • Experience in leading and managing care teams;
  • Experience of developing person-centred care plans and a strong value base which reflects this practice;
  • Good understanding of the key lines of enquiry and regulations of CQC and experience of actively leading/participating in a CQC inspection;
  • Good understanding and experience of recognising, reporting and managing safeguarding concerns;
  • Experience of managing a care business specifically Income and Expenditure;
  • A minimum of NVQ 3 but preferable NVQ 5 in Health and Social Care;
  • Experience of being a Registered Manager or a progression opportunity.
