HM Stanley is a licensed operator of M&S Food, and as a locally owned company, we have big ambitions for ourselves and our employees. We are opening our second M&S Food store and are looking for an experienced leader ready to make it a success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a team in a similar environment.

As a leader of our retail business, you’ll do more than just oversee daily operations. You’ll support the growth and profitability of your store, role model great customer service, and develop great talent and capability within your team.

  • Drive a selling culture within your team.
  • Consistently raise performance and capability of the team to support developing internal talent.
  • Utilise and exploit data to support operational decisions and manage the KPIs.
  • Implement a continuous improvement mentality within your team.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends.

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic retail customer assistants to join our team, ready to make it a success.

Pay: £12.80 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all retail customers.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and returns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities.

Experience:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.

Job Types: Full-time/Part-Time, Permanent

Expected hours: No more than 32hrs per week
