About the Role

A fantastic sports venue in London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join their dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and security of their fans and staff at all events. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement safety protocols, conduct regular audits and contribute to a world-class customer experience.

The Impact You\’ll Make

  • Assume responsibility for event day safety on a rotational basis.
  • Collaborate with senior safety managers to deliver exceptional event safety.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive event briefings and post-event debriefings.
  • Support the recruitment, training and development of the stewarding team.
  • Support investigations and contribute to the continuous improvement of event day operations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all stakeholders.

Your Skills and Experience

  • NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Safety, Stewards Manager (or equivalent) or Safety Officer in a relevant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Experience in event planning and delivery.
  • Knowledge of steward training and development.
  • Understanding of Counter Terrorism risk management.
