Enhance Catering is supporting a valued client in recruiting a Chef Manager to support the catering operation at their busy primary school in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands-on chef who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high-quality food service.
You will be an experienced Chef Manager, Cook Manager or Strong Head Chef ready to step up, with excellent cooking and people-management skills. You take pride in running a well-organised, efficient kitchen and are confident producing high-quality meals at volume.
What You'll be doing:
- Lead and manage a team of 8 staff
- Catering for 400+ covers daily (multi outlets)
- Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal food to a consistently high standard
- Manage, motivate, and develop the catering team
- Ensure full compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and due diligence requirements
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation
What Is On Offer:
- Pay Rate - Up to £27,000 per annum
- Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week | 7.00am to 3pm

Essential Requirement for this role:
- Commute time within an hour of Melton Mowbray
- Previous Head Chef, Chef Manager, Cook Manager experience (ideally B&I, Education or Healthcare)
- Strong Management & Chef background
