Enhance Catering is currently recruiting for two experienced Chef de Parties to join the catering team at a prestigious boarding school in South West London. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate chefs looking to further their career within a professional, high-volume catering environment. The successful candidates will become part of a well-established kitchen team delivering fresh, high-quality meals across a busy operation serving up to 2,600 covers per day. Salary: £33,280 - £34,944 per annum
Hours: 40–42 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (rota basis)
Contract: Permanent | 52 Weeks per Year
The Role
Working alongside the Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering consistently high-quality food while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation are maintained. You will play an integral role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, contributing to a varied and nutritious menu within a fast-paced educational catering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality meals to a consistently high standard.
- Manage your designated kitchen section efficiently during service.
- Support the delivery of varied, balanced and nutritious menus.
- Ensure excellent standards of food presentation and portion control.
- Maintain compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.
- Assist with stock management, stock rotation and waste reduction.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant working environment at all times.
Candidate Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to progress.
- Experience working within a busy, high-volume catering environment.
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food safety legislation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- A genuine passion for producing quality food and delivering excellent service.
Previous experience within education, contract catering or large-scale hospitality environments would be advantageous.
