Sous Chef – Reigate
£17.00 - £19.00 per hour | Full-Time | Day Shifts | Alternate Weekends
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a luxury care and nursing home in Reigate, for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join their well-equipped kitchen team.

The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be second in command and play a key role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and producing high-quality, nutritious meals to a restaurant standard
- Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and seasonal changes
- Supervising and developing junior members of the kitchen team
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Helping to manage the kitchen during busy service periods
- Ensuring consistently high standards of food presentation and quality
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a confident and experienced chef who is passionate about food and enjoys working as part of a team.
You should have:
- Around 5 years' professional kitchen experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene, Catering or a similar qualification
- Previous supervisory or Sous Chef experience
- Knowledge of COSHH and food safety procedures
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy kitchen
- A positive, professional and proactive approach
Hours & Benefits
- £17.00 per hour - £19.00 per hour
- Full-time day shifts
- Shift patterns: 07:00–15:30 / 10:00–18:00 / 12:00–20:00
- Alternate weekends required
- Up to 30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, depending on length of service
