The Role: Head Chef

The Restaurant: Liverpool Street Chop House and Tavern is a unique warehouse which reimagines the classic Victorian chop house and city tavern through Sir Terence Conran's design philosophy, creating spaces of gathering and conviviality that celebrate London's heritage. Born in the City of London, the brand features elevated gastro-tavern fare by acclaimed chef Mike Reid, championing exceptional British produce through a partnership with The Ethical Butcher. The dining experience combines theatrical elements with authentic hospitality, from bespoke Blenheim Forge steak knives to traditional tankards serving unique beers.

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate Head Chef to manage all aspects of the food offering in our restaurant. You must be passionate about food, ingredients and menu development.

  • You will be responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety and food hygiene, managing GP, P&L and all other forecasting and stock management.
  • Knowledge of Adaco and Fourth Hospitality is desirable, but full training will be given.
  • We are looking for a Head Chef who can lead the team - being on the front line and leading the pass is a must.
  • Creative development of menus in the restaurant.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, margins and all financial aspects of the kitchens.
  • Training and development of the brigade.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety.
  • Previous experience of working as a Senior Chef within a Hotel or high volume restaurant.
