This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Solicitor with 5 plus years PQE who is looking to progress their career within an award winning and dynamic Corporate team, offering high quality work, excellent long term prospects, and exposure to a varied client base across multiple sectors.
The Corporate Solicitor in Tonbridge, Kent will be trusted with a broad and interesting caseload from the outset, advising entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporates, banks, and high net worth individuals. The role offers a salary of £60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience, hybrid working, annual bonus, private healthcare, matched employer pension contributions up to 5%, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown, and paid parking.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Corporate Solicitor will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of corporate and commercial matters. The day to day responsibilities within this role include:
- Advising on mergers and acquisitions, including both buy side and sell side transactions
- Acting for entrepreneurs, SMEs, large corporates, banks, and high net worth individuals
- Advising on private equity transactions and shareholder agreements
- Drafting and negotiating company constitutional documents, investment agreements, and commercial documentation
- Advising on EMI share option plans and management equity plans
- Supporting clients with restructuring and insolvency related matters
- Advising on family investment companies and corporate structures for succession and estate planning purposes
- Handling strategic acquisitions across sectors including healthcare, IT, security, property, retail, veterinary services, leisure, and funeral services
- Managing your own caseload with appropriate support from senior colleagues
- Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused advice to clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Corporate team
The successful Corporate Solicitor will have at least 5 plus years PQE in corporate law. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- Qualified Solicitor with strong corporate law experience
- Strong technical knowledge across mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, private equity, and corporate advisory work
- Experience advising owner managed businesses, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and larger corporate clients
- A commercially minded and solutions focused approach
- Confidence managing your own caseload effectively
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach to business development and client relationship building
