Eventus Legal are recruiting for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join the residential property department of a well-established and growing law firm based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
This is a permanent, full-time position working within an experienced and supportive property team, assisting with a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious Conveyancing Paralegal looking to further develop their technical knowledge and take on increased responsibility within a busy and successful residential property team.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Paralegal, you will play an integral role in supporting fee earners whilst also managing aspects of transactions independently under supervision.
You will become involved in the full conveyancing process and work closely with clients and third parties to ensure matters progress efficiently and smoothly.
Duties will include
- Assisting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
- Drafting legal documents, contracts and supporting correspondence throughout the conveyancing process.
- Preparing contract packs and issuing documentation to solicitors and third parties.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders and solicitors to provide regular updates and progress transactions.
- Reviewing title documentation and raising standard enquiries where appropriate.
- Ordering and reviewing property searches and reporting results to fee earners.
- Managing file opening procedures and ensuring compliance requirements are completed accurately.
- Carrying out anti-money laundering checks, source of funds investigations and identity verification procedures.
- Preparing completion statements and assisting with financial transactions relating to completions.
- Supporting exchange and completion processes to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assisting with post-completion matters including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
- Maintaining accurate electronic files and updating the case management system throughout each transaction.
About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate
- Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Paralegal, Conveyancing Assistant or Legal Assistant within a residential property department.
- A sound understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to post-completion.
- Experience handling aspects of files with an ability to work with a degree of autonomy under supervision.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing legal documentation.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and external parties.
- Good IT skills including experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to work.
