Eventus Legal are seeking a PostCompletion Paralegal to join a dedicated postcompletion team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based job offering a salary of £26,000 to £28,000 dependent on experience, private health insurance, an employer-contributed pension and group life assurance.

You will manage your own caseload of postcompletion files while reporting to a senior member of the property team.

Role Responsibilities

The PostCompletion Paralegal in Spalding, Lincolnshire will take ownership of a varied caseload following completion of residential property transactions. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of postcompletion files from completion through to registration and closure
  • Preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and arranging payment where required
  • Preparing, submitting and progressing applications to HM Land Registry
  • Reviewing and responding to Land Registry requisitions within the relevant timescales
  • Serving leasehold notices and dealing with certificates of compliance, restrictions and other title requirements
  • Checking postcompletion documentation and maintaining accurate case management records
  • Liaising with fee earners, lenders, managing agents, freeholders and other relevant parties to progress matters
  • Closing files once all postcompletion requirements have been satisfied
  • Reporting to a senior member of the property team and escalating complex issues appropriately

Person Specification

You will have practical experience of residential conveyancing postcompletion work and be comfortable managing competing deadlines. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience managing a caseload of postcompletion files
  • Knowledge of Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions and HM Land Registry applications
  • An accurate and methodical approach to documents, records and deadlines
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a dedicated team
  • Confidence using case management systems and standard Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work full time from the firm's office in Spalding, Lincolnshire
