Eventus Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected and long‑established Essex law firm that is seeking a Team Assistant to join its thriving Private Client department in Brentwood.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Legal 500‑recognised team with an outstanding reputation for providing exceptional client care across Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trust matters.

The Role

Working closely with experienced Private Client solicitors, you'll provide high‑quality administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the department.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy and client‑focused environment.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners.
  • Opening new files and carrying out conflict, AML and ID checks.
  • Managing diaries, arranging meetings and coordinating travel.
  • Audio and copy typing legal documentation.
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documents.
  • Liaising professionally with clients and third parties.
  • Supporting the wider team with event coordination, research and general administration.
  • Assisting with reception cover when required.

About You

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise a busy workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

You'll enjoy working as part of a close‑knit team and pride yourself on delivering first‑class client service.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous experience within a legal support or administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • A proactive, positive and flexible approach to your work.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using legal case management systems and digital dictation software would be advantageous, although not essential.
