Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancer (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Fee Earner) to join a well‑established, small law firm based in Durham, County Durham. This is a permanent full‑time position with flexible hours and the option for hybrid or remote working. The incoming Conveyancer will benefit from a genuinely supportive, family‑feel environment, manageable caseloads, free on‑site parking, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Role Responsibilities
- Handling a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Managing files from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision
- Dealing with both freehold and leasehold transactions
- Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
- Maintaining excellent client care standards, reflecting the firm’s strong local reputation
- Liaising with estate agents, lenders and other third parties to ensure smooth progression of transactions
Person Specification
- Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish
- Excellent communication and client care skills, with a personable and approachable manner
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail
