Eventus Legal are seeking a Corporate and Commercial Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a specialist team in Nantwich, Cheshire.
This is a full-time, permanent job position, although part-time working may be considered for a minimum of three days per week.
The salary is £34,000 to £48,000 dependent on experience and expertise, with hybrid working available, 25 days' holiday plus bank and public holidays, healthcare, pension and an annual performance-related bonus.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 2 to 3 years' PQE or above to build on and develop an existing good quality workload, managing their own caseload while working closely with an experienced Corporate and Commercial Director and benefiting from appropriate support, supervision, their own office and secretarial support.
The working hours are 9.00 am to 5.15 pm, with lunch between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm.
- Role Responsibilities
- As Corporate and Commercial Solicitor or Legal Executive, you will take responsibility for your own caseload while contributing to the continued growth of an established specialist department.
Your work will include
- Managing your own corporate and commercial caseload with appropriate support and supervision available.
- Working closely with an experienced Director on a varied range of corporate and commercial matters.
- Advising companies, partnerships and individuals on commercial agreements and documentation, including contracts and terms and conditions.
- Supporting clients with the sale and purchase of companies and businesses and related corporate transactions.
- Assisting with wider commercial matters arising from the department's established workload, including contentious commercial, debt recovery and insolvency-related work where appropriate.
- Building strong client relationships through practical, commercially aware and client-focused advice.
- Contributing to the expansion and development of the Corporate and Commercial department.
Person Specification
Applications are welcomed from qualified lawyers who are ready to manage their own matters within a supportive specialist team. You will ideally demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2 to 3 years' PQE.
- Relevant experience in corporate and commercial law and the confidence to manage an independent caseload.
- Experience of advising on commercial contracts, business sales and purchases or related corporate transactions.
- Strong drafting, organisation and client-care skills.
- A practical and commercially minded approach to legal advice.
- The ability to work collaboratively with senior colleagues while taking ownership of your own files.
- A genuine interest in developing an existing workload and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
