Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to the Corporate team of a highly regarded, Legal 500 law firm in Manchester. Ideally part‑time with flexible hours, this role offers an excellent salary and outstanding benefits package.

This Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a busy Corporate team, working closely with the Head of Corporate to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operation. You will be a central point of support, play a key role in delivering a professional service, maintain accurate records, and ensure an excellent standard of client care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for client enquiries, answering and distributing telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Produce letters of engagement, legal documents, mail merge letters and PowerPoint presentations, along with data inputting and spreadsheet tasks.
  • Manage correspondence and communications on behalf of the Head of Corporate, ensuring messages and documents are handled promptly and accurately.
  • Oversee file opening processes and complete engagement letters.
  • Maintain accurate client records and comprehensive filing systems in line with firm procedures and data protection legislation.
  • Arrange client meetings, travel and accommodation for the team as required.
  • Work confidently with the firm's case management system.
  • Proactively support the team with billing, including the production of billing information and bills.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider firm where appropriate and work collaboratively as part of the team.

About You

You are an experienced Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Legal PA who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in providing dependable, high‑quality support. You are highly organised, discreet and confident in managing competing priorities within a professional legal setting.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous secretarial experience gained within a legal environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience of using legal case management systems.
  • A discreet, compassionate and sensitive approach when handling confidential matters.
  • A proactive, team‑focused attitude with a genuine commitment to excellent client service.
