Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join a well established and growing law firm in Liverpool. This is a permanent, full-time job offering a salary of £25,475, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with hybrid working available. Based in Liverpool, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Law Paralegal with legal aid experience to join a successful, progressive team handling both Public Law and Private Law family matters.

As the incoming Family Law Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting the family team, assisting with both Public Law and Private Law matters while delivering a high standard of client care. This job offers the opportunity to gain varied experience across care proceedings and private family matters within a close-knit and supportive team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a solicitor with case management across a varied family law caseload
  • Conducting meetings with clients, providing clear and compassionate guidance
  • Drafting Part 25 and C2 applications
  • Complying with Court directions and deadlines
  • Assisting with both Public Law and Private Law matters
  • Liaising with clients, Counsel and other third parties throughout proceedings
  • Attending Court to support solicitors and clients where required
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date case files in line with regulatory requirements

About You

You will be an experienced Family Law Paralegal who is empathetic, organised and a positive team player, comfortable working closely with clients during difficult and sensitive times. This opportunity will suit someone with a genuine interest in family law who is looking for a long-term position within a growing and progressive firm. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Paid work experience as a family law paralegal on legal aid cases (this is essential)
  • Experience assisting with both Public Law and Private Law matters
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload
  • Confident and empathetic approach to client care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hard working, approachable and enthusiastic manner
  • Ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
