Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Secretary for a law firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear. This is a permanent job position that can be offered on a full time or 4 day per week basis, with working hours of 9am-5pm. Other benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and free parking. Role Responsibilities The incoming Conveyancing Assistant / Legal Secretarywill be working in a small team, assisting to progress a caseload of matters. Your responsibilities will include: File openings/closing, ordering searches for properties Running electronic ID checks for clients Updating and maintaining key case management systems and portals Lodging applications with the land registry Providing quotes to new potential clients Running OS1/2 applications and bankruptcy searches Completing AP1s Responding to daily enquiries from clients/mortgage brokers/Estate Agents/other side’s solicitors Person Specification Applications are sought from experienced Conveyancing Assistants or Legal Secretaries ideally with experience in conveyancing. You will be expected to handle administrative duties for all conveyancing transactions. You will also: Have excellent IT skills including Outlook, Word, use of CMS, and various conveyancing/estate agent portals Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
