Eventus Legal are seeking a Children Panel Solicitor / Legal Executive for a well-established law firm in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is ideally a full-time, permanent job position, with applicants looking to work four days per week also welcome to apply. Offering a salary in the region of £65,000, the firm is open to discussing individual salary requirements. The position provides hybrid working, together with 25 days' annual leave from the outset, private medical insurance following probation and Group Life Assurance.
Role Responsibilities
- Joining the Care team as a Children Panel Solicitor / Legal Executive in Leeds, West Yorkshire, you will take responsibility for your own caseload and represent clients through public children proceedings.
- Your day-to-day work will include:
- Running your own caseload of Care matters
- Drafting legal documents and managing cases efficiently
- Handling Legal Aid applications and navigating the CCMS portal
- Undertaking your own advocacy
- Delivering clear, compassionate and professional client care
- Working towards achievable fee earner targets
- Ensuring Legal Aid Agency processes and compliance requirements are met
Person Specification
This opportunity requires an experienced Children Law legal professional with the accreditation and following needed to develop an established Care practice. For this Children Panel Solicitor / Legal Executive job, you must:
- Be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Be on the Law Society's Children Panel
- Have an associated following of guardians
- Have experience in Care Proceedings and public children cases
- Have strong advocacy and case management skills
- Understand Legal Aid Agency procedures, compliance requirements and the CCMS portal
- Be capable of managing a busy caseload while maintaining attention to detail
- Bring a professional and empathetic approach to client relationships
