This permanent Agricultural Lawyer job can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis and presents an excellent opportunity to specialise in rural and agricultural law while working in the beautiful South Lakes region. This Agricultural Lawyer job in Kendal, Cumbria offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of rural clients including farming families, landowners and rural businesses across the South Lakes. You will manage a varied caseload while developing strong client relationships within the agricultural sector. Your work will include a mix of transactional, advisory and client relationship responsibilities:
- Agricultural property transactions
- Advising on the sale and purchase of farms, agricultural land and rural property
- Handling rural property matters including unregistered land and complex titles
- Drafting and negotiating documentation relating to land rights including easements and wayleaves
- Rural and agricultural advisory work
- Advising farming clients on agricultural tenancies and licensing arrangements
- Supporting farming families with succession planning and long-term land ownership structures
- Preparing and advising on farm partnership agreements and related rural business arrangements
About You: This opportunity would suit a solicitor who enjoys working closely with rural communities and building trusted relationships with farming clients and landowners. You will be someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical and approachable manner when advising on complex rural matters. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years PQE. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

- Understanding of succession planning considerations within farming families or rural businesses
