Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Associate with experience to join a successful, expanding team based in Darlington as Head of Private Client due to succession. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Head of Private Client will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of matters including Wills, LPAs and Estate Administrations. Court of Protection and Trust work is also available within the team, and you will gain excellent exposure to a varied caseload and possess a sensitive approach in handling these matters.
You will support HNW individuals, commercial and agricultural clients to structure their estates and assets to minimise the impact of Inheritance Tax and Residential Care costs to secure wealth for future generations. You will work alongside financial advisors and accountants to achieve the best outcomes for his clients who he advises both locally, nationally and internationally.
You will also be responsible for managing and developing the Private client team, comprising around 6 private client professionals ranging from Solicitors to Paralegals.
Person Specification
As Head of Private Client you will have excellent knowledge in Private Client matters with a minimum of 5 years PQE, and ideally STEP membership or at least an interest in pursuing membership. You will have experience across all areas of Private Client law, assisting individuals, business owners and trustees with legal advice.
Importantly, any applicant will also be able to display:
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills, striving to simplify often technical areas for clients and priding yourself on being a friendly and approachable solicitor for people often experiencing difficulties in their lives
- Ability to organise and prioritise your workload within the required timescales
- Good I.T skills
