Eventus Legal are seeking an ambitious Family Law Executive to join a well-established and extremely reputable full-service law firm in Loughborough, Leicestershire. This is a permanent, full-time job opportunity with great local transport links from the wider Leicestershire region. Benefits include hybrid and flexible working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, and a competitive salary £30,000-£50,000 DOE along with excellent career prospects and further training opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of public and private family law and children matters
  • Advise clients on divorce, separation, child arrangements, financial settlements, and domestic abuse issues
  • Represent clients in care proceedings, child protection matters, and applications involving local authorities
  • Conducting your own advocacy
  • Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintain accurate billing records where applicable
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervise junior staff or trainees where appropriate
  • Meet individual billing, chargeable hours, and performance targets
  • Ensure compliance with SRA standards and confidentiality obligations

Person Specification

  • Applications are sought from experienced and passionate family law executives (solicitors, legal executives or fee earners) with a background in handling a diverse range of family law matters.
  • Prior experience managing or assisting on a caseload of public and private family law files
  • Ability to conduct own advocacy
  • Strong knowledge of family law legislation, court procedures, and legal aid processes
  • Ability to build rapport with vulnerable clients and handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent IT skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
