Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Family Partner to join a market‑leading Family team based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a permanent role offering a market‑leading package and hybrid working options. It is an exceptional opportunity for an established Family Partner to take a leading role within a highly regarded and successful department, helping shape the future direction and continued growth of the team.

The successful candidate will join a market‑leading Family team consisting of three Partners and five other Solicitors. They will lead this part of the team, benefiting from a strong platform, established client relationships and the opportunity to further develop a successful and well‑respected Family offering.

About the Role

As a Family Partner, you will play a key leadership role within the Family department, taking responsibility for leading this area of the team while continuing to manage a high‑quality caseload and develop strong client relationships. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family lawyer to join an established and successful practice, providing strategic input, supporting the development of colleagues and contributing to the continued growth of the department. The successful candidate will enjoy genuine autonomy, the ability to influence strategy and the opportunity to build their profile within a highly regarded firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the Family team based in Birmingham
  • Managing a high‑quality caseload of complex Family matters
  • Advising clients on a broad range of Family Law issues, including divorce, financial matters and private children matters
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Identifying new business opportunities and supporting department growth
  • Working collaboratively with Partners and colleagues across the wider firm
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing Solicitors within the Family team
  • Building relationships with professional contacts and key referrers
  • Maintaining excellent technical standards and delivering exceptional client service
  • Representing the firm through networking and business development activities

About You

You will be an experienced Family Partner with the ambition and commercial ability to lead and develop an established area of the Family department. This Family Partner role would suit an individual seeking genuine influence, autonomy and responsibility within a supportive and successful team. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across Family Law matters, excellent client relationship skills and the ability to contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
