Eventus Legal are seeking a Corporate Partner / Senior Associate to join a leading law firm around Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a permanent job offering a market-leading package together with hybrid working options and flexibility regarding office location. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Corporate Lawyer ready to take the next step in their career, either as an existing Partner or a Senior Associate looking to progress into partnership, to join a busy and successful M&A team.
The successful candidate will join an established Corporate team consisting of three Partners and three Solicitors, providing support on a broad range of high-quality transactional work. About the Role
As the incoming Corporate Partner / Senior Associate, you will play a significant role within the Corporate team, working on a varied caseload of M&A transactions and advising clients across a range of sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Corporate lawyer to develop their profile within a highly regarded firm, working alongside an experienced team while contributing to the future success and growth of the practice.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage complex transactions, develop client relationships and support the continued expansion of the Corporate offering across the West Midlands and wider region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a broad range of corporate transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions
- Advising businesses, shareholders and management teams on transactional matters
- Leading and supporting transactions from inception through to completion
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to the growth of the team
- Working collaboratively with Partners and colleagues across the wider firm
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Corporate team where appropriate
- Building relationships with professional advisers and key stakeholders
- Providing high-quality technical advice on complex corporate matters
- Representing the firm through networking and business development activities
About You
You will be an experienced Corporate lawyer with strong transactional experience and the ambition and commercial acumen to develop your career within a successful M&A team. This Corporate Partner / Senior Associate job would suit an individual seeking greater responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing practice area.
The successful candidate will have experience handling a range of corporate transactions and will be comfortable managing client relationships and working on complex matters. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- At least 6 years PQE experience in Corporate law
- Strong experience handling M&A transactions
- Experience managing transactions from inception through to completion
- A strong track record in developing client relationships
- Commercial awareness and business development capability
- Experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers
- Excellent organisational and workload management skills
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to practice development
