Eventus Legal are seeking a permanent Corporate Solicitor to join a well-established law firm based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. About the Job
This Corporate Solicitor job offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of high-quality corporate matters while playing an important part in the continued growth of the department. Alongside delivering exceptional legal advice, you will build long-term client relationships, contribute to the firm's commercial success and support the ongoing development of colleagues within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of corporate transactions from instruction through to completion
- Developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with clients and professional referrers
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the corporate offering through networking and marketing initiatives
- Providing commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of corporate matters
- Supervising your own financial performance, work in progress and billing forecasts
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver an outstanding client experience
- Sharing technical knowledge and supporting the development of colleagues within the department
- Promoting continuous improvement by contributing ideas and maintaining high professional standards
- Advising on mergers, acquisitions, company restructures and corporate governance matters
- Preparing and negotiating shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and joint venture arrangements
- Supporting clients with company formations, secretarial matters and commercial contract issues
- Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
About You
You will be an experienced Corporate Solicitor with the confidence to manage a diverse caseload and build lasting relationships with clients. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team while taking ownership of your own workload and contributing to the wider success of the business. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with at least four years' post-qualification experience in corporate law
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of corporate transactions
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- A proactive approach to developing new business opportunities and growing professional networks
- Confident user of case management systems together with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards of work
- Strong communication skills with clients, colleagues and external contacts
- Professional, commercially aware and committed to delivering outstanding client service
- A collaborative approach with the ability to support colleagues and contribute positively to team culture
