Job Description Eventus Legal are seeking a Children Panel Solicitor for a full time, permanent position working remotely across the East Midlands. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced public children lawyer who wants to play a central part in an ambitious law firm's expansion across the region. The Children Panel Solicitor will work remotely while the East Midlands presence is established, moving to approximately one day per week in a new regional office once it opens in either Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire or Lincolnshire. The position offers remote working, a competitive salary up guideline circa Β£75,000, a strong employee benefits package including private medical insurance, pension scheme, life assurance, and 25 days holding rising with level of service. As a senior member of the developing East Midlands Care team, you will combine high quality casework with a meaningful contribution to regional growth and team development. Manage your own caseload of public law children and Care proceedings from instruction through to conclusion. Draft legal documents and manage cases effectively in accordance with court directions and professional requirements. Handle Legal Aid applications and use the CCMS portal confidently and accurately. Undertake your own advocacy and represent clients professionally in court. Work towards achievable fee earner targets while maintaining strong standards of legal service and compliance. Work closely with the new Regional Head to help establish and develop the firm's East Midlands presence. Contribute to building the new regional team and support the development of the office as it grows. This Children Panel Solicitor position requires an experienced and credible public children lawyer who can combine technical expertise with the confidence to help develop a new regional presence. Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with current Children Panel Accreditation. Strong experience of Care proceedings and public children law matters. Confident advocacy and case management skills. Good working knowledge of Legal Aid Agency processes, compliance requirements and the CCMS portal. Commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively towards fee earning targets. Based in the East Midlands and able to attend the future regional office approximately once a week when it opens.
