Eventus Legal are seeking a Police Station Accredited Representative to join a well-established and growing specialist criminal defence practice with opportunities available across Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary dependent on experience and providing exposure to serious and complex criminal matters from the earliest stages of proceedings.
As the incoming Police Station Accredited Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients during some of the most challenging and important stages of the criminal justice process. This is an opportunity to work closely with experienced criminal defence solicitors whilst gaining exposure to a wide variety of cases, including serious and complex matters. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a growing and highly respected criminal defence team operating across the Midlands and London.
Key responsibilities include:
- Representing clients independently at police stations and providing expert support throughout the detention process
- Providing legal advice and assistance during interviews under caution
- Supporting clients during the early stages of criminal investigations and proceedings
- Working closely with solicitors and colleagues on a broad range of criminal defence matters
- Liaising with clients, investigators and other parties to ensure information is communicated effectively
- Assisting with the progression of matters from initial attendance through to ongoing case preparation
- Gaining exposure to serious, high-profile and complex criminal cases
About You
You will already hold Police Station Accreditation and will have experience attending police stations independently on behalf of clients. The successful candidate will be passionate about criminal defence work and comfortable operating in demanding and fast-paced environments. This role would suit an individual who remains calm under pressure and is committed to delivering exceptional client care.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
