Eventus Legal are seeking a part-time Receptionist to join a well-established and growing specialist criminal defence practice in Birmingham. This is a permanent Receptionist job offering a salary of circa £30,000 FTE pro rata, working ideally three days per week on an office-based basis in Birmingham. Based in modern and refurbished offices, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Receptionist seeking long-term stability, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to become part of a supportive and expanding organisation with offices nationwide.

About the Role

As the Receptionist, you will become the first point of contact for clients, visitors and external contacts, playing an important part in creating a professional and welcoming experience for everyone interacting with the business. This is a varied and visible position offering a blend of front‑of‑house responsibilities and administrative support within a busy and friendly office environment. The successful Receptionist will enjoy working with people and take pride in maintaining high standards across the workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the face of the business and providing a professional first impression for visitors and clients
  • Managing the reception area and ensuring a welcoming and organised environment is maintained at all times
  • Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently to the appropriate individuals
  • Serving as a central point of contact for general office and visitor enquiries
  • Supporting colleagues with a range of administrative and business support activities
  • Assisting with day‑to‑day office administration to support the wider team

About You

You will already have established experience working in a Receptionist position and will enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be confident, approachable and capable of managing competing demands whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner. This Receptionist job would suit an individual looking for a long‑term opportunity within a stable and growing organisation. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience working as a Receptionist within a professional services environment

  • Experience within a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential
