Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join the established Billingham office of a growing multi-office law firm. This is a full-time, permanent job offering £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, with 9am to 5pm hours and genuine flexibility around working pattern. Five days is preferred, although four days may be considered. The job is mainly office-based, with hybrid working potentially considered depending on individual circumstances. The vacancy has arisen because of increasing conveyancing work, and the firm is also open to a Residential Conveyancer moving with a trusted Legal Secretary or Conveyancing Assistant.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Residential Conveyancer will manage their own varied caseload from the established Billingham office, supported by experienced colleagues and conveyancing support staff. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing residential conveyancing transactions including sales, purchases, Buy-to-Let, leasehold matters, new builds, shared ownership, remortgages and transfers of equity.
- Providing proactive communication and excellent client care throughout each transaction.
- Using Land Registry and lender portals to progress matters efficiently and accurately.
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, file management and risk awareness.
- Building positive relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and other property professionals connected with the Billingham office.
Person Specification
This Residential Conveyancer job in Billingham will suit an established conveyancing professional who is comfortable running their own caseload within a busy office. Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience of independently managing a full residential conveyancing caseload.
- Strong working knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions, new builds and other common residential property matters.
- Experience using legal case management systems, Land Registry services and lender portals.
- High levels of organisation, accuracy and professional communication.
- A client-focused, approachable manner and the ability to work collaboratively within a wider property team.
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive is welcomed but is not essential where strong relevant experience can be demonstrated.
