Eventus Legal are seeking a qualified Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established law firm in Bedford, Bedfordshire, they have multiple office Nationwide. This is a full-time, permanent job position with a competitive salary and hybrid working in line with the firm's working-from-home policy. The package includes 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a pension contribution, an additional holiday bonus scheme offering the potential to earn up to 12 extra days' holiday per year when monthly fees received targets are met, and an annual discretionary financial bonus scheme based on fees received. You will manage your own residential property caseload while benefiting from Legal Assistant and post-completion support.
Role Responsibilities
As Residential Conveyancer, you will manage a varied residential property caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion, supported by an established team.
- Handle residential sales and purchases from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
- Manage remortgage and equity release transactions.
- Review and check title for freehold and leasehold properties.
- Deal with transfers of equity and matrimonial transfers.
- Handle matters including shared ownership leases, variations of leases, new-build purchases and Help to Buy transactions.
- Provide suitable support and training to conveyancing assistants within the department.
- Develop local client contacts and cross-refer clients to other departments where appropriate.
Person Specification
The successful Residential Conveyancer will be able to take ownership of an existing caseload and provide a confident, high-quality residential conveyancing service.
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer.
- Ideally at least 3 years' post-qualification experience.
- Considerable experience of residential sales, purchases and remortgages.
- Experience of shared ownership leases, lease variations, new-build purchases and Help to Buy matters.
