The role: This is a rare opportunity for a junior commercial property lawyer (0–4 PQE) to gain high-quality, hands-on experience in a fast-growing and purpose-driven business. You will work closely with our Head of Legal (Real Estate), Legal Counsel and General Counsel, along with a highly experienced team of developers and property specialists. The role offers significant exposure to complex, high-volume transactions and the chance to build both legal and commercial expertise. We’re looking for someone proactive, commercially minded and confident working both independently and collaboratively. You’ll have regular interaction with teams across the business, giving you real insight into how legal supports strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing legal processes from heads of terms through to exchange and completion
- Drafting and negotiating Agreements for Lease and Leases
- Conducting title due diligence, including preparing Reports on Title and resolving title issues
- Supporting land rights acquisition for electricity connections, working with DNOs and IDNOs
- Assisting with large-scale portfolio transactions involving institutional landlords, investors and pension funds
- Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
- Commissioning and reviewing property searches
- Handling post-exchange and post-completion matters, including registrations and SDLT filings
About You:
- Qualified lawyer (0–4 PQE) with commercial property experience. Non-qualified candidates with considerable experience in these areas will also be considered.
- Experience in EV charging, utilities, or infrastructure is highly desirable
- Strong drafting, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Self-starter who can manage workload independently while contributing to a collaborative team
