Global Packaging Designer Jo Malone London has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Senior Packaging Designer. This role will be based out of our Global Townhouse in Marylebone. This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work up to 2 days per week at home.
The Senior Packaging Designer will help to concept, drive and execute creative Packaging Designs to support overall brand strategy, storytelling and product positioning. The Senior Designer will create and develop innovative 3D design solutions for primary and secondary packaging, promotional gifting programs, and related collateral materials.
Candidates will be expert designers, detail-oriented, and proactive team players having experience within beauty, fashion or luxury global brands.
Role Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Design team to create thoughtful, innovative, on-brand 2D and 3D concepts for primary and secondary packaging, promotional gifting programs, and related collateral materials.
- Effectively present and communicate creative objectives, and articulate concepts to internal cross-functional team members.
- Present to and collaborate directly with senior level creatives.
- Participate in Creative Briefings, and partner with cross functional teams inclusive of Product Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Packaging Development, and Global Creative.
- Partner with Project Managers / Creative Operations to ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage press runs, colour evaluations, comps, design turnovers, and approvals of all packaging related artwork to ensure accurate execution at production.
- Ensure a high level of excellence and attention to detail in all creative work produced and executed.
- Drive sustainability and seek latest design and technology trends in packaging.
- BA Packaging Design, Graphic Design or related field.
- Experience in 3D form, graphic design, and typography skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and innovative design skills.
- Strong multi-tasker under pressure in fast paced environment.
- Highly organized, with excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of current fashion, beauty, lifestyle, luxury trends.
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite inclusive of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Experience with 3D/rendering software.
