Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis – Travel Retail EMA – Based London
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. invites applications for the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis – Travel Retail EMA – Based London role.
This role reports to the Finance Director, Travel Retail EMA, and is based in the London office. It is a hybrid position with the expectation to work in the office three days per week. The FP&A Manager is responsible for accurate financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Travel Retail EMA region, managing key processes end‑to‑end, ensuring compliance with corporate deadlines, and providing actionable insights to support commercial decision‑making.
Planning and Monthly Estimate
- Supports evaluation of the financial impact of strategic choices as part of the long‑range planning process.
- Works with the brand teams & business manager to deliver the annual budget & monthly estimates, ensuring timely completion of all required schedules and upload into consolidation system.
- Leads the CAPEX process in the region.
Monthly Close
- Proposes accruals (actual postings are done by a separate RTR team).
- Ensures integrity of accounts and performs variance analysis in line with corporate deadlines.
- Upholds accounting principles and ensures proper processes are adhered to within the brand teams.
- Oversees the CAPEX monthly close.
Business Partnering & Performance Management
- Ensures relevant, accurate financial and commercial reporting is delivered to brand teams, including oversight of reporting issued by other brand teams.
- Meets with Cost Centre managers to review performance and forecast, ensuring gaps are identified & addressed and that forward forecast is correct.
- Supports brands with effective resource allocation, highlighting opportunities to reduce/optimise spend, looking at return on investment of specific initiatives and profitability across doors, channels, and categories.
- Covers for business manager when required.
Brand FP&A Team Leadership
- Supports wider brand FP&A Team, looking at opportunities for efficiencies and continuous improvement to processes and supports with process/system changes.
- Works with FP&As to ensure achievement of all deadlines across brand FP&A.
- Supports with training and development of new FP&As.
- Represents brand FP&A within the wider Finance team, collaborating with COEs, Regional FP&A and RTR.
Qualifications
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA with approximately 3 years PQE and above.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, proven ability to effectively communicate with non‑finance stakeholders.
- Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Any other key technical skill or area of knowledge relevant to the specific role.
- Highly proactive and self‑motivated, pre‑empting business questions.
- Ability to effectively plan & prioritise work to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills: high level of tenacity to get to root cause and ability to add actionable insight and recommendations to support commercial decision‑making.
