Responsibilities
- Reflect a credible and professional brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times.
- Maximise sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards.
- Contribute to efficiencies by adhering to store, brand, and company procedures and guidelines.
- Understand daily and weekly targets.
- Ensure awareness of all additional sales avenues, such as eventing, omni‑channel and digital channels.
- Keep up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
- Effectively use social media to drive business, protect, and enhance the brand image.
- Deliver the brand strategy and ensure an effective local plan is implemented.
- Plan and implement local marketing and events initiatives aligned with retailer activity.
- Deliver excellence in execution of service by ensuring measures are in place to continually improve service levels, creating a zero consumer complaints mindset and a surprise and delight culture.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand, leading the way to ensure brand values are represented and brought to life.
- Manage refunds and complaints in line with company guidelines, consulting the area manager where appropriate.
- Use digital tools to keep knowledge up to date.
- Deliver a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
- Develop up‑to‑date knowledge of product to deliver an industry‑leading experience that meets consumers’ needs.
- Plan to ensure delivery of excellent standards in product, housekeeping, displays, messaging and pricing.
- Review retail standards daily and ensure they meet required standards.
- Ensure deliveries, stock movements and associated administration are completed within agreed company timeframes.
- Ensure all auditable processes and administration are actioned to company guidelines and take corrective action in areas of risk.
- Fulfil all information requests accurately within set deadlines.
- Minimise stock loss by implementing all company security policies and procedures correctly.
- Create and maintain a safe working environment for consumers, ensuring compliance with company and retailer policies and procedures.
- Ensure health and safety responsibilities meet a minimum overall grading of ‘Acceptable’ during audits.
Commercial Duties
- Manage daily replenishment, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- Maximise sales performance by utilising commercial reports before making decisions.
- Plan and deliver visual merchandising layout within guidelines and agreed timescales.
- Identify stock package issues and take corrective action, informing the area manager when out of direct control.
- Effectively manage promotions and discounts in line with company guidelines.
- Identify trends and make suggestions to enhance product performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast‑paced retail and/or consumer‑facing environment.
- Ability to drive self‑development.
- Commercial understanding and awareness of industry.
- Effective communication, organization and prioritisation skills.
Fragrance Specialist Role
As a highly skilled Fragrance Specialist, you will combine creative and technical expertise and passion for people to provide a welcoming, inspirational and personalised in‑store experience that educates and delights customers. You will lead the Estee Lauder Companies Fragrance brands (Tom Ford, Balmain, Aramis, and Estée Lauder) across three days per week at Boots Kensington; previous experience within prestige fragrance is preferred but not mandatory.
- A passion and energy to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalised customer service.
- An approachable, friendly attitude with a ‘can‑do’ mindset.
- Previous beauty/fragrance experience is desirable.
- Understanding of KPIs and daily/weekly brand targets.
- Confidence in speaking to customers, getting to know them and understanding their needs to best cater to them.
- Flexibility to work across days and hours; discuss availability with the hiring manager during the interview.
