We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational counter manager to lead, coach and develop the sales team to achieve all sales, customer service and operational targets. You will have total accountability for creating and executing an agile business plan to recruit and retain customers through strategic targeting, impactful in-store events, exceptional customer relationship management and the leadership of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for smooth running of the store and ensuring the team is aligned with the Boutique and Brand vision.
  • Lead, coach and develop Sales Associates to achieve sales, customer service, and operational targets.
  • Create and execute an agile business plan to recruit and retain customers.
  • Plan and execute in-store events and experiences.
  • Set sales and customer service targets, perform sales analysis, staff scheduling and manage inventory, facilities, and cash reconciliation.
  • Represent the brand at events, including wedding consultations, where you help clients create memorable experiences.
  • Model team qualities such as respect, helpfulness, and cooperation.
  • Maintain high attention to detail, organisational skills, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Proven retail management/assistant retail management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience setting sales and customer service targets, sales analysis, and staff scheduling.
  • Retail operations experience including inventory and facilities management and cash reconciliation.
  • Experience creating and executing in-store events.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Result-oriented with a high drive to meet objectives and standards.
  • Ability to anticipate, recognize, and meet customers' needs.
  • Handling difficult and tense customer service situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Guiding performance of others while holding them accountable.
  • Proactive and positive approach to work and tasks.
  • Confidentiality, tact, and discretion in dealing with people.
  • Retail sales experience is required.
  • Degree of experience dependent on business/store size.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
  • Working knowledge of computerised systems including email and Microsoft Excel.
