Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance and control activities for all incoming raw materials and packaging components.
- Manage and develop the Incoming Materials / QC team to deliver objectives in service, quality, safety and cost.
- Oversee incoming inspection, sampling, testing and material release processes.
- Ensure timely disposition of materials to support production schedules and minimise delays.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Planning and key vendors to ensure material compliance and supply continuity.
- Manage supplier-related quality issues, including investigations, complaints and corrective actions.
- Support supplier qualification, approval and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO and regulatory requirements for incoming materials.
- Oversee OOS, deviations and non-conformance investigations related to incoming materials.
- Maintain robust data integrity and documentation practices within electronic QMS systems.
- Monitor and report KPIs such as material release lead time, supplier quality performance and right-first-time metrics.
- Manage laboratory activities related to incoming materials testing (where applicable).
- Oversee outsourced testing and external rework activities.
- Ensure QC equipment used for incoming testing is maintained, calibrated and qualified.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve supplier quality.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in QC, Incoming Materials or Supplier Quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a GMP-regulated environment, with at least three years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of incoming materials control, supplier quality and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with raw materials and packaging components, including specifications and testing requirements.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and electronic QMS systems.
- Flexibility to support off‑shift activities when required.
- Experience in Cosmetics, Consumer Goods or Pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.
