Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive Conservation & Environmental Manager to lead and enhance our environmental initiatives while improving the estate's aesthetic appearance. This role involves managing natural resources like woodlands and hedgerows, and handling duties such as biomass boiler operations and infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Woodland and Habitat Management: Implement plans for biodiversity, manage tree and hedgerow care, and conduct ecological surveys.
  • Biomass Boiler Operations: Oversee boilers, ensuring energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
  • Environmental Schemes: Lead participation in schemes like CSS and SFI; ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Market Exploration: Develop projects for carbon offsetting and biodiversity credits & opportunities in natural capital/ biodiversity schemes.
  • General Duties: Maintain estate infrastructure and collaborate on incorporating environmental considerations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Conservation, or a related field.
  • Experience in conservation management and environmental policy.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental schemes; practical estate management skills.
  • Leadership and communication skills; experience with GIS technology.
